Public bug reported:

sun-javadb was uploaded by a Sun developer in 2008 and hasn't been
touched since.

Oracle claims that JavaDB is Oracle's supported version of Apache Derby and
includes the "same binaries" whatever that means.
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javadb/overview/faqs-jsp-156714.html#1q2

In 2013, derby was packaged for Debian.
https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/derby

Currently, derby and sun-javadb are not co-installable (LP: #1276353) so
let's drop the unmaintained Ubuntu-specific multiverse package and use
the Debian-maintained derby instead.

** Affects: sun-javadb (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
