>From the dpkg terminal and history log you are updating a number of
packages. Samba did print out an error at the end, but there are a
number of other packages that failed to update. I would highly suggest
trying to update again to clean out some of the messages as it may be a
red herring as to what the actual issues is.
Try running:
# apt clean
# apt update
# apt install -f
Run that last command a couple times to make sure everything finishes
configuring. Once that complete, then try running:
# apt upgrade
I am marking this as incomplete as there is not enough information to
determine what the actual issue is or if this is simply a local
configuration/temporary apt failure.
