Public bug reported:

Hello; PowerDNS's 4.0.0 release wasn't quite ready in time for 16.04 LTS
so an alpha version was shipped instead, with the understanding that
newer releases could be SRU'd back to Xenial at a later date.

It's been several months now, and upstream has released 4.0.1. This is
packaged as 4.0.1-1build1 in 16.10, 4.0.1-5 in devel, and 4.0.1-6 in
sid. The Debian maintainer is quite active and disciplined.

What's the best way forward to getting a newer PowerDNS in 16.04 LTS? A
yakkety backport? zesty backport? Or merge from Debian?

Thanks
