Possible to update the MBR on the SSD can Help. Before last year I had XUBUNTU 16.04 installed to try it, it worked, but the Applications I use daily were not so nice. So use Version 14.04 up to today. I updated the Mainboard Firmware just before I tried to install the new Version 16.04, without other effects.
