>tim474, the latest mainline kernel is 4.10-rc1 (not 4.4, or 4.9).

When I tried, it was 4.9. I'll try with 4.10, but I doubt that it was fixed. I
tried Ubuntu 16.04 on another laptop (Samsung NF-310) with the same WiFi chip:

>Network controller [0280]: Broadcom Corporation BCM4313 802.11bgn
Wireless Network Adapter [14e4:4727] (rev 01)

And on Samsung it works properly.

And on Lenovo E130 I noticed that brcmsmac can work properly if I
install wl propriteary driver, and do

>rmmod wl
>modprobe bcma
>modprobe brmsmac

and don't reboot or suspend. After reboot (with blacklisting wl and
unblacklisting brcmsmac and bcma) or suspend-resume it has the same
problem.

Maybe cause of the problem is firmware?

And I noticed a problem with wl. It doesn't connect to some public
networks. But brcmsmac (after the hook above) or windows (on the same
laptop) connects to them.
