>tim474, the latest mainline kernel is 4.10-rc1 (not 4.4, or 4.9).
When I tried, it was 4.9. I'll try with 4.10, but I doubt that it was fixed. I tried Ubuntu 16.04 on another laptop (Samsung NF-310) with the same WiFi chip: >Network controller [0280]: Broadcom Corporation BCM4313 802.11bgn Wireless Network Adapter [14e4:4727] (rev 01) And on Samsung it works properly. And on Lenovo E130 I noticed that brcmsmac can work properly if I install wl propriteary driver, and do >rmmod wl >modprobe bcma >modprobe brmsmac and don't reboot or suspend. After reboot (with blacklisting wl and unblacklisting brcmsmac and bcma) or suspend-resume it has the same problem. Maybe cause of the problem is firmware? And I noticed a problem with wl. It doesn't connect to some public networks. But brcmsmac (after the hook above) or windows (on the same laptop) connects to them. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1652562 Title: [Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E130] BCM4313: very slow speed with brcmsmac To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1652562/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
