** Description changed:

  I think I have found an issue, switched glyphs between VERY MUCH
  GREATER-THAN and VERY MUCH LESS-THAN Unicode characters. The following
  bit of LaTeX demonstrates the issue (compiled using XeLaTeX):

  ~~~
  \documentclass{article}
  \usepackage[T1]{fontenc}
  \usepackage{mathspec}
  \setmainfont{Caslon}
  \newfontfamily\djvusans{DejaVu Sans}
  \begin{document}
  Caslon: a⋘b, a⋙b.
  {\djvusans DejaVu Sans: a⋘b, a⋙b.}
  \end{document}
  ~~~
+
+ Using XeLaTeX is actually not necessary. It is possible to observe the
+ same issue in HTML: https://jsfiddle.net/xwn42kj7/
