Public bug reported:
lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS
Release: 14.04
stellarium version:
0.14.3bp1-1ubuntu1~ppa3~ubuntu14.04.1
I wanted to start Stellarium 0.14.3bp1 i had this error:
GL Shading Language version is too old, need Version >= 1.3 or something
like that.
Than i checked for my installed OpenGL version:
glxinfo | grep "OpenGL version"
it was NVIDIA 304.XX.
After searching Google for a solution i found out that the NVIDIA driver
is too old. So i installed the new version 340.98 over the old:
sudo apt-get install nvidia-340
And now it works:
glxinfo | grep "shading language"
gives version 3.30.
Stellarium starts as expected :)
I hope i can post it as a solution here, i don't want to login into 1000
sides for bug solution reports.
