Public bug reported:

When trying to run from Ubuntu 64 bit Xenial, it crashes. When running in
Terminal:
john@NewDesktop:~$ gpxviewer
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/gpxviewer", line 28, in <module>
    from gi.repository import Gdk
ImportError: No module named gi.repository

Interestingly, it's OK on my laptop. Both are clean installs of Xenial.
