Possible, maybe, but I don't think it's worth pushing a few gigabytes, maybe even terabytes, of traffic around mirrors and users (not to mention the human time to try rebuilding the packages) just to placate virustotal.
AV tools are barely useful for windows users -- for everyone else, it's more trouble than it's worth.
