Public bug reported:
I cannot get the floppy drive to read "any" floppies in Kubuntu 7.04. I
click on System Menu-Storage Media-Floppy0 and the floppy drive doesn't
even lite up. I have also tried to access the floppy through a terminal
with the same results. Being that nobody on the Ubuntu forums answered
my post after I was told to post my " cat /etc/fstab " about this
problem I posted on the Just Linux forum and the reply was that my " cat
/etc/fstab " looks good and that I should try another Live CD. I tried
Kubuntu 6.06 LTS (32bit), Kubuntu 6.06 LTS (64bit) ((I have a 64bit
mobo)) and the results were a little different. The floppy would get
read but I would get a blank screen. So I ran Knoppix 5.1.1 and it
reads any floppy I put in it just like my win xp HDD which is on a dual
hard drive boot system on this mobo.
Any ideas??
Pepse3.
