I reported this issue to LibreOffice upstream and further tracked it down. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105159
As it turned out, I could solve it by installing a font-package and clearing the font cache (documented in my upstream bug report). As it turned out, this is not an issue at all. Not in LibreOffice and not in ubuntu. The only thing is that it happened after upgrading from 14.04 to 16.04. So maybe the update process could be slightly improved. At least a fresh install of ubuntu 16.04 behaves correct out-of-the-box. ** Bug watch added: Document Foundation Bugzilla #105159 https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105159 ** Changed in: xfonts-base (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1604182 Title: Some Arial characters have serifes in 16.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfonts-base/+bug/1604182/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
