Good questions. If you choose to keep 3.6 installed for now, I would subscribe to https://launchpad.net/bugs/1651923 When that bug is marked **Fix Released** and the update is applied to your computer (it may be a week later), I would then re-install the Ubuntu version of this package. To re-install the Ubuntu version, you can run this from the command line: sudo apt install ttf-mscorefonts-installer/xenial (Of course, use yakkety instead of xenial if you are using Ubuntu 16.10). I don't know about stopping the install prompts. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1607535 Title: ttf-mscorefonts-installer 3.4+nmu1ubuntu2 fails to install core fonts To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/msttcorefonts/+bug/1607535/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
