Public bug reported:
Body:
For a number of locales, for example, TZ=Europe/London, the default
format of the date command is wrong. At least one other timezone is
affected: TZ=Africa/Johannesburg has the same bug.
$(TZ=Europe/London;date)
Wed Jan 18 13:59:33 GMT 2017
This format is wrong. It should be:
$(TZ=Europe/London;date)
Wed 18 Jan 13:59:33 GMT 2017
In other words, the date format should be:
date +%a\ %d\ %b\ %H:%M:%S\ %Z\ %Y
Not, as it currently is:
date +%a\ %b\ %d\ %H:%M:%S\ %Z\ %Y
