Public bug reported:

etcd's init.d script has bug in it so it's unusable via service tool.
It's fixed in newer version - please see https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-
bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=821012

System: Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS

apt-cache policy etcd result:
etcd:
  Zainstalowana: 2.2.5+dfsg-1
  Kandydująca: 2.2.5+dfsg-1
  Tabela wersji:
 *** 2.2.5+dfsg-1 500
        500 http://pl.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial/universe amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

What I expected - "service etcd" tool working correctly (or - new version of
this tool available in the repository)
What is happening - error occurs because of inadequate use of baseline tool in
init.d script
