Public bug reported:

VL-Sub stuck while downloading subtitles. I can see that after pressing
"Search" the "Searching Subtitles" appear after long time, after this
"VL-Sub not responding" pop-up goes away and subtitles list appear.

One more thing if user does not wait this long and close this "VL-Sub
not responding" pop then VLC gets closed saying its crashed.

On the other hand if I keep waiting, for the list, list appears and when
I click download subtitle after selecting one, it gets download and load
correctly. But when press close then it gets hang for while showing same
weird dialogue "VL-Sub" not responding.

Just after this crash, I have run : 'ubuntu-bug vlc' and reported this.

Note: this same problem is with Windows version too.
