fixes a majority of suspend and bringhtness issues with this version.
incorporates parts of the 73-getbrightness-returns-int.patch.

it should be solved for everyboody who saw the "g_value_set_int:
assertion `G_VALUE_HOLDS_INT (value)' failed" errort in the g-p-m output
