Greetings, >From the log message above it appears that the install for mysql 5.6 failed because mysql 5.5 is already on the system. The result is two copies of the binary innochecksum, which prevents mysql 5.6 from fully configuring and installing. The solution is to only have either 5.5 or 5.6 installed at one time.
Since we use this bug tracker to track bugs in Ubuntu, rather than configuration problems, I'm marking this bug as 'Incomplete'. This helps us to focus on fixing bugs in Ubuntu. If you believe that this is really a bug, then you may find it helpful to read "How to report bugs effectively" http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem, explain why you believe this is a bug in Ubuntu rather than a problem specific to your system, and then change the bug status back to New. ** Changed in: mysql-5.6 (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1555571 Title: package mysql-server-core-5.6 (not installed) failed to install/upgrade: a tentar sobre-escrever '/usr/bin/innochecksum', que também está no pacote mysql-client-5.5 5.5.47-0ubuntu0.14.04.1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mysql-5.6/+bug/1555571/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
