"This may be due to existing firewall settings blocking the required ports. When you are in a trusted network environment, you may open the ports for network services like mdns and slp in the firewall. For detailed steps follow the link. http://hplipopensource.com/node/374 " The link there is broken. http://hplipopensource.com/node/375 talks about other distros, but not Ubuntu. ** Affects: hplip (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1658891 Title: Outdated link to opening firewall ports To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/hplip/+bug/1658891/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
