Public bug reported:
I have two PC's (connected through synergy), both run a gkrellm daemon and my
main PC runs two instances of gkrellm to monitor stuff like CPU usage, network
usage, temperatures etc.
This has worked for centuries. However, after I upgraded my main PC to xenial,
the gkrellm clients stop getting graphically updated after having run for a day
or so; nothing changes anymore after a while, as if they are dead. I don't
think they are really dead because at certain window manager events I see a
single update (ie, bringing them to the foreground), but the freeze is
otherwise permanent until I restart the gkrellm clients, after which they work
again for a day or so.
