Hello,
I have Acer Extensa 5220 with realtek alc268 - intel hda audio chipset

lspci -m:
00:1b.0 "Audio device" "Intel Corporation" "82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio
Controller" -r03 "Acer Incorporated [ALI]" "Unknown device 011f"

ubuntu version is:
Linux ubuntu 2.6.22-14-generic - latest ubuntu gutsy (rc)

PROBLEM: Only internal speakers are working (adjustable with master or
pcm) - MISSING MIXER CHANNELS AND NO IN/OUTPUT FOR FRONT CONNECTORS
(line in/out, mic)

In Windows XP there is also an automatic jack detection (when pluggin in
headphones, internal speaker turns off)

I already had installed the realtek alsa driver (from realtek homepage)
which worked with some adjustments (model=acer, but though only 2 mixer
channels which adjusted both outputs) , but after automatic update same
problem as now on new ubuntu rc version.
