Hi there
evolution-common provide the "menu item" you're talking about, what do you have
as dependency of that package, that keep you from uninstalling it?
could be a bug in other package, which depends on this one. At least here, i
can uninstall evolution and evolution-common without touching any package which
isn't intermediately related to evolution.
