Public bug reported: Ubuntu Xenial default kernel is now 4.8. The 2.10 version of xtables- addons does not support this kernel version (specifically, the hash crypto API).
xtables-addons 2.11 adds support for this kernel (https://sourceforge.net/p/xtables-addons/xtables- addons/ci/master/tree/doc/changelog.txt). You have a package already that fixes this issue (https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xtables-addons/2.11-1). It seems to be working fine on my Xenial systems. I also tried Ubuntu's version 2.11-2 of these packages, but it seems to break with Xenial.
