I think it fails to install the grub, from the UbiquitySyslog.txt attached:

I've tried this on my pc and it goes straight through with no errors.
Specifically :

dpkg: warning: ignoring request to remove grub-pc which isn't installed
dpkg: warning: ignoring request to remove grub-gfxpayload-list which isn't
installed
which are the packages giving errors in your case.

Title:
Lubuntu live EFI installer crashes before it finishes on a new fully
factory resetted TRITON laptop, running UEFI by default. It just may
be because my usb booted SD card with the live installer is slightly
corrupt. I think I should try reburning it. No?
