Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: scim

Using gutsy, I just noticed that if scim is running and japanese
language (anthy) is selected, thunderbird will crash when I create a new
message.

Steps to reproduce:
1. ctrl-space to activate scim, select japanese (anthy)
2. start thunderbird.
3. ctrl-m to create a new message.

It always crashes following these steps. I've recreated both ~/.scim and
~/.mozilla-thunderbird, without any changes.

If scim is running but isn't active (i.e. no ctrl-space), everything
works properly. If I activate it while typing a new message, it doesn't
crash immediately, but does when I send the message.

I've noticed a similar problem in firefox - once scim is active, ctrl-n
to open a new window will cause a crash. I haven't seen similar problems
in other programs, but I don't use scim much in anything else.

Using thunderbird 2.0.0.6+nobinonly-0ubuntu1 and scim 1.4.7-1ubuntu2
