Hi,
the help you listed only mentioned two commands:
sudo apt install bind9
sudo apt install dnsutils
Those work fine for me when trying to recreate.
Yet you mentioned "to connect with my Canon printer" which is interesting.
Because in the logs I see:
insserv: Starting cups depends on plymouth and therefore on system facility
`$all' which can not be true!
insserv: There is a loop between service cups and dns-clean if started
insserv: loop involving service dns-clean at depth 1
insserv: Starting cups depends on plymouth and therefore on system facility
`$all' which can not be true!
insserv: exiting now without changing boot order!
update-rc.d: error: insserv rejected the script header
dpkg: error processing package bind9 (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Did you do any other changes affecting cups (printer daemon) setup that might
cause this?
Also - on a different level - I don't see why you'd need bind/dns to connect
with your printer.
Maybe that is what should be solved and your bind issue ignored.
