Binary package hint: compiz
I have an Ati Radeon X700 Pro PCI-e.
After installing the proprietary Ati driver, because this gives much
better 3d acceleration, the compiz effects could not be enabled anymore.
First due to disabled composite extension in xorg.conf file. Enabling
this gave a different error; that compiz could not be enabled. A work
around for this was to install the xserver-xgl package.
These two changes ( or maybe only the latter was important ) gave 3d
accelerated compiz effects with the restricted driver.
