Public bug reported:
Boot messages can be really live-saving.
You can find lots of threads and discussions on the question "how can I make
boot messages readable" - there are quite some ideas how to edit grub config
files to achieve that, some may work, many do not.
I think, it's a very basic requirement that a good OS can display boot
messages, so I can easily see what's going wrong in the case something
goes wrong. Some people may like the splash screen eye candy - well,
granted.
But in any case, there must be a trick to make the boot messages console
visible with one single keystroke. In any variant and flavour. Always.
Ever. And reliable.
