At first, this looked to me like an exact copy of mate-backgrounds. But on closer look, it looks like you replaced the backgrounds in the desktop/ directory.
https://github.com/mate-desktop/mate-backgrounds/tree/master/desktop https://github.com/ukui/ukui-backgrounds/tree/master/desktop 1. I proposed you talk to the Debian and or Ubuntu MATE teams to ask if they would be willing to split the desktop/ wallpapers to a separate binary package since those wallpapers have MATE branding but I think the other wallpapers do not. If they don't have MATE branding, they are usable by any desktop. Then you can depend on mate-backgrounds-generic or mate-backgrounds- unbranded or whatever the package is called. We don't need duplicate background images in Ubuntu. 2. For the new wallpapers, why not add them to the ubuntukylin- wallpapers package? Therefore, I am closing this bug since it does not appear like this package is needed in Ubuntu. ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1664267 Title: [needs-packaging] ukui-backgrounds To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntukylin/+bug/1664267/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
