To debug shutdown problems we do need persistent journal. You can enable persistent journal with $ sudo mkdir -p /var/log/journal Reboot, and reproduce shutdown thereafter and attach /var/log/journal/*
Also you should be able to see the shutdown text messages by hitting Esc during shutdown plymouth screen to see which jobs systemd is waiting on / is blocked on. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1663794 Title: Poweroff/Reboot Hangs :: Ubuntu 16.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/systemd/+bug/1663794/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
