Public bug reported:
A snap can contain a number of "apps" which each represent an executable
program.
Currently only the name (i.e. the binary name) of an app is exposed via
the snapd interface, i.e.
"apps": [ { "name": "ohmygiraffe" } ]
For a graphical snapd client (e.g. gnome-software) it is useful to have
more information about this app, especially if more than one app is
provided. For graphical apps [1] they are likely to provide a .desktop
file, so having a means to get the contents of this file via snapd would
be useful.
