Public bug reported: I observe random hard locks of the machine when watching streaming video over the LAN. No log-entries of the crashes, so the best observation i can make is that it happens when there is heavy i/o going over the net
Cases: 1.) Watch a Xvid with totem from a samba share on the server, 2.) stream DVB-television with vlc from server, receive with vlc on the client In both cases the machine randomly freezes after a period of 10 -30 minutes, needs hard reboot I'm unsure if this a duplicate of https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-source-2.6.22/+bug/137783 since it's different hardware. Works fine with Feisty kernel 2.6.20-16 ** Affects: linux-source-2.6.22 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- kernel randomly freezes under heavy network load https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/153227 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
