Seems not to be fixed.. The system now boots graphically but hangs at a
certain point with following error:

---
* Checking file systems
fsck 1.40.2 (12-Jul-2007)
fsck.ext3: Unable to resolve 'UUID=6e744a02-24fc-4b1f-a9d1-012da1ceecf0'

fsck died with exit status 8

* file system check failed
A log is being saved in /var/log/fsck/checkfs if that location is writable.
Please repair the file file system manually.
A maintenance shell will now be started.
CONTROL-D will terminate this shell and resume system boot.

Then I have to type 'exit' to continue booting. I would think this is
reproducible because it just happened 3 times in a row, but that was
also the case yesterday..
