Asus UX303U. Problem started on Ubuntu 16.04 after a regular software upgrade (apt upgrade). I have sound through headphones but not internal speakers. The sound in the speakers came back after I plugged and unplugged my headphones several times and remained until after reboot.
I've check all sound settings including using alsamixer (nothing is muted). This bug really limits the use of my laptop. ** Attachment added: "Update of packages that most likely caused the problem." https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/1533343/+attachment/4822195/+files/apt-failed-sound-upgrade.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1533343 Title: No sound from internal speakers after boot with connected headphones To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/1533343/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
