  I noticed that Libreoffice was rendering very slow (I can see each menu
  option drawn) so I tried using OpenGL rendering, which causes
  libreoffice to crash immediately on start-up.
  
  I confirm that OpenGL is working fine:
  
  $ glxinfo | head

  display: :0  screen: 0
  direct rendering: Yes
  server glx vendor string: NVIDIA Corporation
  server glx version string: 1.4
  
  I'm able to use glxgears and other apps like djv_view with fast
  rendering.
  
  I've attached the gdb trace resulting from the crash with debug symbols,
  following is an except:
