I can make d-i do this, but I'm a little uncomfortable with having d-i create files on the target system not owned by any package (we've been trying to get away from this). Would upstart be able to own /etc/event.d/ttyS* - that is, remove any such files on purge?
Also, perhaps upstart could ship a template somewhere so that d-i doesn't have to know too much about upstart's configuration syntax, which will presumably change. ** Changed in: debian-installer (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: debian-installer => finish-install -- doesn't hanlde console on ttyS* on ia64 https://launchpad.net/bugs/60503 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
