Public bug reported:

I have a zVM instance with a 1Gb Network device configured:

  *-network
       description: Ethernet interface
       physical id: 1
       logical name: enc600
       serial: 02:28:0b:00:00:04
       size: 10Mbit/s
       capacity: 1Gbit/s
       capabilities: ethernet physical tp 10bt 10bt-fd 100bt 100bt-fd 1000bt
1000bt-fd autonegotiation
       configuration: autonegotiation=on broadcast=yes driver=qeth_l2
driverversion=1.0 duplex=full firmware=V631 ip=10.245.236.28 link=yes
multicast=yes port=twisted pair speed=10Mbit/s

When checking it under ethtool, I am told it is only 10Mb/s:

ubuntu@hwe0008:~$ ethtool enc600
Settings for enc600:
        Supported ports: [ TP ]
        Supported link modes: 10baseT/Half 10baseT/Full
                                100baseT/Half 100baseT/Full
                                1000baseT/Half 1000baseT/Full
        Supported pause frame use: No
        Supports auto-negotiation: Yes
        Advertised link modes: 10baseT/Half 10baseT/Full
                                100baseT/Half 100baseT/Full
                                1000baseT/Half 1000baseT/Full
        Advertised pause frame use: No
        Advertised auto-negotiation: Yes
        Speed: 10Mb/s
        Duplex: Full
        Port: Twisted Pair
        PHYAD: 0
        Transceiver: internal
        Auto-negotiation: on
        MDI-X: Unknown
Cannot get wake-on-lan settings: Operation not permitted
        Link detected: yes

And when checked with mii-tool, I'm told it's 100Mb/s:

ubuntu@hwe0008:~$ sudo mii-tool enc600
[sudo] password for ubuntu:
enc600: 100 Mbit, full duplex, link ok

When in reality, it actually IS 1Gb/s:
