The version number you're looking for here is 1.12.4-1build0.1 (larger than 1.12.4-1, smaller than 1.12.4-1build1) for yakkety and 1.12.4-1build0.0.1 for xenial.
That said, as discussed on IRC, while "rebuilding it fixes it" may well be a suitable stop-gap, has there been any investigation into WHY this is broken? "Rebuilding fixes it" usually implies an undeclared ABI bump in the underlying library. Something maybe it's too late to fix now in three stable releases, but should be communicated upstream at the very least with a finger-wag. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1638306 Title: [SRU] zypper binary shipped w/ Ubuntu Xenial requires rebuild (relocation error) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/zypper/+bug/1638306/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
