Given that installing the linux-generic package fixed the issue, I'm not certain how important it is now. I am quite willing to provide more information, and/or change to different kernels to help resolve this.
In the meantime, I'm now able to use the latest kernel. I'm not exactly certain why I needed to install the linux-generic package to get things working. From what I've read, it should have been the default kernel when I installed Ubuntu originally, but the search results I found on this topic were a little sketchy. I am unaware of ever choosing to install the low-latency or RT kernels. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1667968 Title: Ubuntu 16.10 kernel 4.8.0-39 No network connectivity To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1667968/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
