Hello, I'm one of the maintainers of fontTools. I actually don't know python modules are re-packaged in Debian/Ubuntu; I just wanted to note here that fonttools' source code is both py2- and py3-compatible, thus there's no py2-only or py3-only parts that could be packaged separately.
