i always login with gnome-shell AS i can see, after reconfiguring gnome-session-daemon, "The RequiredComponents part of /usr/share/gnome-sessions/gnome.session does not have "gnome-settings-daemon" listed, but a lot of org.gnome.SettingsDaemon.* as you said
