Please attach your /var/lib/dpkg/status file, but please zip it. Use the
following command in a terminal to create the file dpkg-status.gz:
gzip -c /var/lib/dpkg/status > dpkg-status.gz
This appears to be required to reproduce/debug this.
I've set the package in the bug report to dpkg.
