Public bug reported: I don't have NVIDIA hardware but I package gnome-shell.
Ubuntu GNOME 17.04 has GNOME 3.24. It would be great if the new support for hybrid graphics worked. https://blogs.gnome.org/uraeus/2016/11/01/discrete-graphics-and-fedora- workstation-25/ (The GNOME part is step 6 in that blog post.) Could you look into seeing if this works? And if it doesn't work, could you report what doesn't work so it can be mentioned in the Release Notes for those wondering about the feature? ** Affects: nvidia-prime (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Summary changed: - Support GNOME Shell's 3.24 'Launch Using Dediated Graphics Card' + Support GNOME Shell's 3.24 'Launch Using Dedicated Graphics Card' ** Summary changed: - Support GNOME Shell's 3.24 'Launch Using Dedicated Graphics Card' + Support GNOME Shell 3.24's 'Launch Using Dedicated Graphics Card' -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1670379 Title: Support GNOME Shell 3.24's 'Launch Using Dedicated Graphics Card' To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-prime/+bug/1670379/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
