Upstreamed the patch as Commit 416de7a8276abd23fd0e0c7f947a1f869d55e2d5
to the maxima's repository at maxima.sourceforge.net. Please be aware
the the probability of anybody from the maxima team reading bug reports
at launchpad is < 100%.
