- Modifying /boot/grub/menu.lst and doing away with kernel option "splash" does solve the problem -
I'm using ubuntu 7.04 64 bit, and experiencing the same blank screen on boot up,(32 bit has the same issue) irregardless as to whether I use the live cd or the alternative. As far as the above quote goes, I was wondering if you could give details on how I would do this exactly. What needs to be either deleted or further commented out? Thanks!
