Public bug reported: It seems there's no plan to support application indicators for Unity8
I have an application called rsibreak https://userbase.kde.org/RSIBreak It tells you to stop typing/using the mouse for 20 seconds after every 10 minutes of use. Basically the application has no window, just a statistics dialog and a configure dialog. The "view" of the application is the application indicator that contains a graphic display that shows how much time is left for the next break. If we don't support application indicators the user will not see anything after he launches the application. ** Affects: ubuntu-ux Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: unity8 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Incomplete ** Also affects: unity8 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: unity8 (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1671042 Title: Support application indicators for Unity8 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-ux/+bug/1671042/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
