Public bug reported:

While creating new user account with a custom home folder I have
encountered this bug: choosing home directory located under "/media"
folder tree renders desktop application shortcuts unusable - clicking
opens them for text editing in gedit instead of starting appropriate
application.

Steps to reproduce:
1. system -> administration -> users and groups -> add user
2. choose some random user name and password
3. under "advanced" tab, home directory input field - replace "/home/someuser"
with "/media/someuser"
4. click "ok" to create a user
5. log in to newly created account
6. under applications -> internet, right-click on "firefox web browser" and
select "add this launcher to desktop"
7. on desktop, double-click newly created shortcut - it will open in gedit
instead of starting application

Running Gutsy RC.
