I was unable to reproduce this issue via the following:
1) disable ipv6 by adding the following to /etc/sysctl.conf
net.ipv6.conf.all.disable_ipv6 = 1
net.ipv6.conf.default.disable_ipv6 = 1
net.ipv6.conf.lo.disable_ipv6 = 1
2) shutdown -r now
3) apt install rabbitmq-server
At that point rabbitmq-server started as expected. I see that you have
solved this by downloading the latest and greatest erlang. For now I am
going to mark this incomplete as there is not yet enough information to
begin working on this. If you have additional steps to reproduce please
let us know!
** Changed in: rabbitmq-server (Ubuntu)
Status: Confirmed => Incomplete
