On a Nexus 10, do the following: 1. Download these files to the device: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~unity-team/+junk/qpa-mirserver/view/head:/qml-demo-client/qml-demo-client.qml http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~unity-team/+junk/qpa-mirserver/view/head:/qml-demo-client/MovingRect.qml and place in the same directory 2. Run mir demo server by calling mir_demo_server_shell 3. Run qmlscene qml-demo-client.qml You'll see a blue screen with a short red bar animating from left to right. 4. With 3 fingers, start interacting with the new surface. Be vigorous, shake it around a good bit! After some time, I notice the white flashes in the blue surface - it seems like some frames are all white. QML is not doing that anyway. With more time, the flashing becomes more evident. I've attached a video showing the flashing here: http://people.canonical.com/~gerboland/mir-flicker.MOV The source of the whiteness does puzzle me. Could it be the Qt app misses the vsync, and an un-drawn buffer is used by the Mir compositor? ** Affects: mir Importance: High Status: Fix Released ** Affects: qtubuntu (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Fix Released ** Tags: nexus10 -- White flickering of Qt clients on Nexus 10 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1273849 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
