Hi Michele,
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better.

The logs do not indicate a particular issue I could help you with.
But this kind of issues mostly happen due to individual configuration that
either:
- doesn't work but users stop to care about the package (e.g. try something but
give up)
- works on the former, but not the new version of the package.

As the error recommends, sometimes the full output of: `See "systemctl
status exim4.service" and "journalctl -xe" for details.` can help to
pinpoint the issue, but mostly people succeed by backing up their config
and reverting it to the default one, then the upgrade runs fine and then
adapt the new version to your custom configuration.

But that depends a lot on your setup e.g. would you loose any data by
dropping your old config for the upgrade.

Since it seems likely to me that this is a local configuration problem,
rather than a bug in Ubuntu, I'm marking this bug as Incomplete.

If indeed this is a local configuration problem, you can find pointers
to get help for this sort of problem here:
http://www.ubuntu.com/support/community

Or if you believe that this is really a bug, then you may find it
helpful to read "How to report bugs effectively"
http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful
if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem,
explain why you believe this is a bug in Ubuntu rather than a problem
specific to your system, and then change the bug status back to New.

Please report back if dropping or adapting your custom configuration made it
upgrading.
If not fixed share any extra data on the configuration and the issue that you
are encounter.
