Running on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, running mhonarc prints to stderr:
defined(%hash) is deprecated at /usr/share/mhonarc/mhamain.pl line 1564.
(Maybe you should just omit the defined()?)

It appears that the deprecation fixes in the last release did not reach
all the places required.
